VERSA-22i FEATURES
- Inverted, compact design keeps twist locks higher on the legs and away from mud and debris for seated and kneeling positions.
- New collets replace older locking gibbs, cutting lock engagement travel for faster leg lock/unlock in the field.
- Enhanced O-rings help keep threads cleaner and provide improved tactile feedback while operating twist locks.
- Vented clevis design allows legs to collapse more quickly by preventing pressure buildup inside the tubes.
- Versa SureGrip™ apex with threaded side sockets for QD attachments, BC-18, and other accessories.
- Shared 5/32" hex key interface across 2 and 3 Series Versa SureGrip™ models simplifies tool management.
- Ergonomic spring-loaded pull tabs with clear lock/unlock indication make leg angle changes easy to confirm at a glance.

Really like my tripod and Arca30 head. They work better than anything else I have used. Only wish is that RRS would have thrown a few stickers in for. $1500 tripod bundle!

I’m using it as a dedicated glassing rig. Versus my TFCT34L dedicated shooting rig, there are a few differences… 22i is faster to deploy and faster to micro adjust, the only compromise is it is a bit longer. I haven’t shot off of it, but have no doubt that it will still be rock solid. Ball heads in this case are apples to oranges (ANVIL 30 v BH55) so will give a separate review regarding that, but BH55 is definitely more advantageous for glassing and digiscoping. I would use 22i tripod for shooting if I were in timed staged matches where improvised positions require small movements or rear stability, but if for hunting or all-day, all-terrain fixed position shooting matches go 34L.

Tvc-22i soar inverted
I bought the Tvc-22i soar inverted and it’s really steady out in the field. I have been dispatching coyotes up to 350 yards so far.
