Take the next step in support — go inverted and feel the difference
DISCOVER WHAT INVERTED CAN DO FOR YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM
Step beyond traditional tripod design and rethink what a tripod can be. An inverted support system shifts the weight, balance, and control closer to where it matters most—under your hands—giving you a more responsive, confidence inspiring platform in any environment. With fewer exposed components, raised twist-locks, and a structure that naturally resists flex and twist, this new approach delivers the fast setup, rock-solid lockup, and smooth operation that you’ve come to expect from RRS in a more compact inverted design.

The RRS Core line; Innovation from the ground-up
The core line of tripods is designed to make Really Right Stuff performance more accessible while staying true to what defines us. Through years of research and development, we brought the entire carbon fiber process in-house—from raw fiber to final tube design—with a clear goal: maximize the value of every step so we can deliver true RRS quality at a more attainable price point Made in America at our Lehi, UT facility. By focusing on the largest cost driver in our tripods—the carbon fiber itself—and taking full ownership of that process, core line tripods reduce overall build costs without cutting corners. Combined with a direct-to-consumer sales model that reduces additional markup and returns us to our roots, the core line reflects a more efficient path from manufacturing to customer, making it possible for more professionals and hobbyists to experience an RRS support system built the way we believe it should be.

A NEW BENCHMARK IN APEX DESIGN
Introducing an all-new apex design built to seamlessly connect to all full size RRS tripod heads. The Benchmark™ is the new standard for tripod support systems. Connect to any ball head from the BH-25 to the BH-55, from the PG-02 to the ANVIL-30 and everything in between. With a QD socket and multiple accessory ports, this new apex is built for anything you can throw at it.
IMPROVED AND EXPANDED ANGLE ADJUSTMENT
Our new Benchmark™ apex features 4 angle positions (24, 44, 64, & 84 degrees) and wider magnetic pull tabs for quick, confident leg angle changes. Their glove‑friendly design gives you a clear, tactile confirmation with every adjustment. Designed for a secure, easy grip, these tabs make repositioning the legs fast and intuitive: pull the tab out, swing the leg to its highest position, then ratchet down to your desired angle and you’re ready to work.

COMFORTABLE CONTROL, WITH A TWIST
The inverted design allows for more comfortable manipulation on the fly, keeping setup and control closer to your hands and the apex. This inverted feature also keeps the newly designed, dust-resistant twist-locks high off the ground and out of the elements at any height. The raised twist-lock setup allows you to comfortably view the apex while adjusting the leg height, making leveling your tripod a simple process.
NEW DESIGN, SAME ROCK-SOLID SUPPORT
The Benchmark™ Inverted is the next big step in RRS innovation, pairing a fresh design with the rock-solid stability and support that you’ve come to trust from Really Right Stuff. With a maximum load capacity of 45 lbs, it’s built to handle complex, heavy setups.

A MORE COMPACT AND VERSATILE INVERTED TRIPOD
With a maximum height of 61.12”, this tripod offers true full standing operation, while its new inverted 3‑section design lets it fold down to 24.48” for comfortable seated and 4.66” for prone use. With a collapsed length of 26.49”, the Benchmark™ Inverted is easy to pack, carry, and deploy wherever your next adventure takes you.
