This base plate is very versatile and allows me to have one on all my cameras, it allows for tripod use and I can also easily use the strap with the QD sling, or attach another strap. This is a very versatile product! One "complaint" I have, it is difficult to find on the website because it does not show individually but mounted on the bottom of a large camera, it should be pictured individually on the website, that would just be a matter of reordering the photos for this product. Cheers!
