Had to use a file to open up the camera mount...
Had to use a file to open up the camera mount screw. Every time I tightened the slide screw it would cover the U shape hole just enough to where I could not get Allen wrench in camera mount. I really love the way the Nikon D850 L plate hides the Allen wrench in its own hole not like the way the z9 plate is. Going to be easier to lose Allen. I usually use z9 on 800 but going to Yosemite and wanted to get plate for the trip. Thank you for what you do your equipment ROCKS

This is not about the design. It is about finish...
This is not about the design. It is about finish quality control. Too many machining marks and scratches on the finish. While I don't know how other manufacturers finish will hold up under wear, at least when received new, they are "clean" with no visible machining and scratches.

Nikon Z9 Modular Plate
I have used RRS L-Brackets plates/combos on all my cameras for over 13 years. And RRS lens feet on my longer lenses. Always superb craftsmanship and attention to detail and never any any issue with them. The L-Brackets give me mounting flexibility and great protection for camera bodies.
