Really Right Stuff's quick-release system is a beacon of industry reliability. Based on the trusted Arca-Swiss standard, this system comprises two essential components: the quick-release clamp and plate. Both pieces are indispensable, with the clamp permanently affixed to your tripod head or accessory and the plate remaining on your camera or lens at all times.

Traditional screwing methods, such as the standard 1/4"-20 screw, are not only tedious but also pose security risks. Once attached, the camera or lens is prone to rotation, jeopardizing the stability of your setup and potentially compromising your shots.

The RSS 50mm Release Clamp jaws open and close effortlessly, offering two convenient methods: a knurled knob for precise adjustment or a patented lever for swift, one-handed operation. The latter, featuring a Stainless Steel S-shaped cam-locking lever, stands out for its superior functionality compared to traditional screw knobs.

But compatibility is critical, and Really Right Stuff's quick-release system delivers. The clamp boasts a non-threaded center socket with a countersink, allowing the mounting screw to drop through from above into a tapped female socket. While it seamlessly integrates with Really Right Stuff ball heads and many Arca-Swiss models, compatibility checks are essential for newer Arca Swiss and some Manfrotto heads.
