- In addition to the dual-dovetails for mounting the camera in a Really Right Stuff quick-release clamp, this plate also has two mounting sockets. This allows camera mounting in either landscape or portrait mode even when using a tripod head that does not have a quick-release clamp.
- Accessory sockets are inline with center of lens - even when you're not using a quick-release clamp, you can properly mount the camera for shooting panoramas.
