Nikon SC-29 Strobe Cord Adaptor

The footprint of Nikon's SC-29 strobe cord is wider than their standard SC-17 or SC-28 cords. Buy our FA-29 to mount your Nikon SC-29 remote cable to one of our flash brackets. Adaptor alone shown at left, adaptor installed on a B87-B flash bracket shown at right.

Metz Flash Adaptor & Metz-Package

MPR-Metz PackageMount a Metz flash to your Really Right Stuff flash bracket by adding our MPR-Metz adaptor (flash mounts facing left; rotate head head forward). MPR-Metz is compatible with: 70 MZ-5/MZ-4, 60 CT-4/CT-1, and 45 CL-4/CL-1 large hand-grip type flashes. Or mount adaptor to an MPR-1 rail to create a handy Metz flash platform (flash mounts facing forward, on left side of camera). Now mount both camera body and flash unit side by side. Our Metz Mount Package includes one MPR-Metz flash adaptor, one MPR-1 6" rail, one B2 LR II clamp, and one reducer bushing.

This is a double dovetail FB-A Dovetail Adaptor

FB-A mountedIf your telephoto lens plate does not incorporate a double dovetail, add our FB-A dovetail adaptor. Not sure if your plate has a double-dovetail? See image at left; a double-dovetail will have mirrored 45° dovetails. The FB-A accessory (shown alone on left & mounted on right) retrofits your existing lens plates to use our flash brackets. Mount the FB-A on any lens plate from Really Right Stuff or Kirk—use both screws for our plates, use single screw for Kirk plates (all Wimberley lens plates already have the double-dovetail design). Use this new dovetail for mounting our flash brackets. Note about Clearance: The FB-A raises the clamping surface for flash brackets by 2⁄10ths of an inch. There must be, at minimum, 5⁄8-inch of clearance from the top surface of the plate to the barrel of the lens.

Nikon SB-R200 Speedlight Adaptor

Use our FA-R200 adaptor to mount your SB-R200 Speedlight Head on any Really Right Stuff flash bracket instead of using the Nikon SX-1 Attachment Ring (this is the ring that comes with R1 & R1C1 Systems). Use the screw in the head of the flash bracket to mount the adaptor, then snap the SB-R200 Speedlight into the adaptor. Do not loosen screws on rear of adaptor; no adjustment of these screws is necessary.

Quantum Qflash Adaptors

Mount any Quantum Qflash unit to Really Right Stuff flash brackets and accessories. Since the bottom of the Qflash units is slightly curved, it's very difficult to mount them to a flat surface. Our Qflash adapters mate perfectly to the curved bottom. And since the adaptors are flat on the bottom with multiple ¼”-20 threaded sockets, they're a great aid for mounting a Qflash onto just about anything. Of course, they're perfect for Really Right Stuff flash brackets.

B89 Flash Extender

Shown on left. This extension column mounts atop our flash brackets to increase the vertical distance by an additional 8.5 inches. This can eliminate "eyeshine" when using a strobe for flash fill on wildlife. Also handy to eliminate redeye when shooting nighttime football.

FA-EX1 Telescoping Extender

Shown on right. This is a rigid, but lightweight, telescoping extension column that mounts atop our flash brackets to increase the vertical distance between the strobe head and the lens by an additional 3.8 to 6.14 inches. Or, tilt the flash head downward, and the B89 can extend a strobe farther forward for interesting backlighting for macro work
