"A while back, I got an itch to design a tripod that would marry the Really Right Stuff ideal of soul-satisfying feel and finish with best-in-class strength and resilience. Three years, thousands of design hours, numerous prototypes and weeks of field-testing later, I'm confident we succeeded.
Driven to produce the best possible still-photography tripod money can buy, we committed that all features, materials, fit and finish meet and exceed the best in the world. The result is not a mass-produced item available at any corner shop. We painstakingly machine most components and assemble each tripod by hand right here in San Luis Obispo, California. What we don't produce ourselves is all made in the United States-down to the smallest screw.
This flies in the face of the age of outsourced production to low-cost countries, but it allows us total and direct control of the end product. admittedly the price may be out of reach for many, but the best tools are worth the investment if it raises your level of art and enjoyment of use.
