(NOTE: Images show pre-production version of Cradle Clamp; all other components are current production versions. The full production model of the PG-CC Cradle Clamp has the locking knob on the opposite side.)
This is the Full Gimbal version of our innovative and modular series of PG-02 Pano-Gimbal heads. For ultimate portability, this head breaks down quickly and easily with no tools: slide the Cradle Clamp off of the Vertical Rail, then slide the Vertical Arm off of the Horizontal Base. Components pack flat.
Added use! The Really Right Stuff Cradle Clamp also fits the WH-200 Wimberley Head Version II head. Now you can replace the screw-knob style clamp on your Wimberley II head with a patented Really Right Stuff lever-release clamp! The Cradle Clamp is a newly designed lever-release clamp. It automatically adjusts to accept all Arca-Swiss style plates except Arca-Swiss P0 Slidefix plates and plates made by Novoflex.
The PG-02 delivers precision smooth panning and rock solid lockup. Use with the biggest lenses for effortless tracking of birds and wildlife.
Mount your collared telephoto lens with its Really Right Stuff quick-release plate or replacement foot in the Cradle Clamp (lens is laterally centered when inside edge of PG-02 VA is locked at 110mm).
- Vertical Positioning: Slide the edge of the Cradle Clamp up until center of lens is parallel to the Index Mark on the PG-02 VR. Lock the Slide Lock Knob.
- Fore-Aft Positioning: Open lever-release clamp halfway, and distribute the weight evenly front-to-back by sliding the lens forward or backward in the Cradle Clamp. The lens will feel balanced and weightless when the load is evenly distributed. Close the clamp.
