Custom L-plate for Mamiya 645 AFD II, Mamiya 645 AFDF, and Phase One/Phase One DF models.
Does NOT fit the Mamiya 645 AF or 645 AFD; mirror lockup switch prevents L-plate from seating against side of camera properly. Also does not fit when the pro-grip is used. This L-plate features very convenient bi-directional mounting dovetails that allow it to be clamped with the quick-release clamp jaws oriented either parallel to the lens axis or parallel to the film plane. It also has an integrated hand-strap mount and laser-engraved lens axis marks on the rear of the plate.
This plate mounts with a single 3/8”-16 mounting screw. Your Mamiya 645 AF camera comes with a reducer bushing pre-installed in the camera’s 3/8-inch mounting socket; this bushing must be removed before you can install your new L-plate. Use a very small (#PH0) Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) to remove the screw that fixes this reducer bushing. With the small screw removed, you can unscrew and remove the bushing. Once removed, align the locator pins then insert and tighten the mounting screw with the supplied hex key (Really Right Stuff logo faces front).
