Custom L-plate for the Canon EOS-7D without the optional BG-E7 grip or WFT-E5/E5A wireless transmitter.This unique L-plate features dual strap lugs. Now you can use both a handstrap and your neckstrap. Mounting screw rides in short slot; loosen mounting screw and slide plate slightly away from side of camera to create the clearance you need when shooting tethered in portrait mode.
NOTE: The original version of this plate featured a bidirectional dovetail on the bottom of the plate to facilitate mounting on video rigs. This design was changed to a more traditional left/right dovetail in February 2011. Images at left with camera display the now discontinued model of the B7D-L. All new orders as of February 2011 will receive the plate with left/right dovetails.
